PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) — A 32-year-old man is dead after he was shot outside of a home in Prince George's County by the man who lives there early Monday morning, according to authorities.
After collecting surveillance video from the home, police say preliminary they believe the homeowner shot Parker from inside during a robbery attempt involving two men.
Prince George's County Police say they were called to the 6200 block of Sligo Parkway at around 2:15 a.m. Officers say they found a man with a bullet wound and had him transported to the hospital, but he died a short time later. Taylor reports that the man was wearing a mask.
Eight people were inside the home during the shooting, including four children but none of them were injured.
Police say they are talking with witness in the area as they continue to investigate the case. Witness have said there have been a rash of vehicle break-ins in the area.
Authorities have not released any other information at this time, but say they are investigating whether the shooting was justified.
