A 16-year-old boy was arrested for shooting and killing a man in D.C. early Wednesday morning.

D.C. police said they were called to the 1200 block of Mount Olivet Road, NE for a shooting around 12:52 a.m. on Wednesday, where officers found Larry Harrell, 43, with a fatal gunshot wound. They said it appears he was shot at a different place before running to the current location and collapsing. He died at the scene, which police said they believe was not far from his home.

Police arrested Titus Iracks, the 16-year-old suspect, and are charging him with murder as an adult.

Officials initially said they were searching for two black males in a yellow Dodge Charger who were suspects in the shooting. Police now say the 16-year-old is the only suspect in the shooting.
