Lightning strike causes 2-alarm fire at Fairfax County hotel, officials say
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (ABC7) —
A lightning strike caused a two-alarm fire to break out at a hotel in Fairfax County Friday evening.
The fire took place in the 6400 block of Richmond Highway in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County.
According to officials, the sprinklers were activated, which attributed to the safety of guests and helped limit the amount of damage done, but the fire still caused $65,000.
