A Leesburg man was arrested after police say he carved swastikas and 'KKK" onto vehicles in the Leesburg area as well as slashed vehicle tires.

Police believe Leesburg Resident Jose Flores, 59, is responsible for the vandalism and have charged him with nine counts of destruction of property.

Leesburg Police say they had received at least 30 reports of destruction of property in the 100 and 200 blocks of Meadows Lane, NE in Leesburg.

Authorities say that Flores acted alone and it appears he is not associated with any hate groups.

Flores is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
