Emergency crews were able to keep a house standing in Southeast after a car crashed into it Saturday.

After assessing the damages and removing the vehicle, officials said emergency crews from the D.C. Fire and EMS’s Cave-in Task Force stabilized the home at the 3200 block of 15th Place, SE.

The car also damaged a gas meter on the house that required officials to call in a gas company for inspection. Officials did not provide an update on the status of the damaged gas meter.

Officials said both the home’s occupants and driver of the car sustained no injuries.

Officials did not give a reason for what led to the crash.

The D.C. area was blanketed with a few inches of snow Saturday, which officials throughout the region warned could result in slick roads.
