The gunman who killed two women and injured five others at a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida, Friday before killing himself was a former teacher in Anne Arundel County.

An Anne Arundel County Public Schools spokesperson said Saturday that Scott Beierle was a teacher at Meade High School during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 school years, teaching both English and social studies. Beierle resigned after the 2006-07 school year.

The two killed have been identified as 61-year-old Dr. Nancy Van Vessem and 21-year-old Maura Binkley, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

Beierle had previous arrests for grabbing women. He also reportedly posted racist and misogynistic videos on YouTube.
