Florida evacuees avoiding Hurricane Irma arrive on flights at D.C. area airports

Evacuees that left Florida to avoid Hurricane Irma arrived Thursday at airports in the Washington, D.C. area.

Florida Governor Rick Scott held a news conference Thursday providing updates on Hurricane Irma, which is expected to hit the Florida area this weekend.

Scott urged residents to evacuate as people in the region brace for the storm.
