WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A fire is under control after firefighters worked to put out a blaze inside a large apartment building in Northwest, D.C. Fire and EMS report.
Officials say the fire started on the second floor of the five-story building in the 3000 block of Connecticut Avenue.
Firefighters have knocked down the fire on the 2nd floor but are searching for an extension.
One resident has been transported to the hospital.
Roads are closed in both directions due to the fire.
Fire officials are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
