Firefighters in D.C. made a daring rescue from a burning house Sunday.

Fortunately, the home's furry resident was not hurt.

D.C. firefighters rescued a squirrel from small fire in an empty row house in the 1500 block Ives Place SE.

The fire is out and now and no one was injured. Fire officials have not said how long the squirrel might be displaced from the row house or if it lost any nuts in the fire.
