Investigators say the cause of a deadly fire, on Logan Court, was electrical in nature.

A 82-year-old man was found inside his house, surrounded by smoke, on Saturday around 4 p.m.

"As they were doing CPR on the way to the hospital, the 82-year-old male succumbed to his injuries," said Willie Bailey, who is a spokesman for Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

"I knocked on the screen door and it was hot and my wife called 911," said neighbor Elias Martinez. "It's unfortunate...it's one of those things where you feel for the guy."

"During this holiday season... to lose somebody. That's crazy," said Stanley Childress.

A cat also passed away in the fire. Officials believe there were signs of slight hoarding, but the fire department could not elaborate.
