A tell-all book that blasts the Trump administration hit book stores on Friday and became Amazon’s number one bestseller almost immediately.

"Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" by author and journalist Michael Wolff wasn’t scheduled to be released until Tuesday, but due to demand, it was released early.

In DuPont Circle, Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe started selling it at midnight and sold out in 20 minutes.

Excerpts have already surfaced, including apparent quotes from former chief strategist Steve Bannon where he calls a meeting between a Russian lawyer and the Trump administration "treasonous" and "unpatriotic."

Another Bannon quote in the book calls daughter Ivanka Trump "dumb as a brick."

President Trump's lawyer sent Wolff a cease and desist letter threatening legal action saying Bannon has apparently violated a non-disclosure employee contract. The president says the book is full of lies accusing Wolff of malice, saying he had zero access inside the White House.

Wolff has been criticized in the past for wrong facts and miss-quotes in books. Regardless if this one is fact or fiction, it appears Americans are curious.
