A woman was killed in a two-car collision Saturday in Severna Park.

Police say 39-year-old Caron Tasker was trapped inside her car and had to be removed. She was taken to a Baltimore trauma center where she later died.

The other driver involved in the accident, identified as 32-year-old Kyle Heck, sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Heck was driving his pickup truck along Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard when he lost control, crossed a centerline, and hit Tasker's car.

Investigators say the truck crashed into a fence and overturned.

The incident occurred along Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at Lower Magothy Beach Road.

Police say an initial cause of the crash was a failure to remain in the right center of the lane. Additionally, excessive speed and alcohol use by Heck are also considered a factor in the crash.
