ALEXANDRIA, Va. (ABC7) — An 82-year-old man was found dead with trauma to his upper body inside of a home in Alexandria on Monday.

Investigators identified the victim as Jerry Scott. Police said he died at the scene.

Authorities conducted a death investigation in the unit block of East Reed Avenue on Monday morning.

Alexandria Police said an investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Brad Cecchetti at 703-746-6858.
