WASHINGTON (7News) — Locally and at the federal level, people are trying to do something about a spike in gun violence. In DC many were especially spurred to take action after the shooting death of six-year-old Nyiah Courtney last Friday in Southeast D.C.
In Washington, this week teenagers learned how to make a film with a group called “Don’t Shoot Guns, Shoot Cameras.”
Rodney “Red” Grant says he founded the program to give young people a positive alternative to doing things they shouldn’t.
