D.C. police chief: 'No credible threat' of attack on Fourth of July

Mayor Muriel Bowser, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham and other city officials stood at a scenic spot in Southeast D.C. where many view the fireworks show on Monday to talk street closure and in light of the FBI’s thwarting a terror threat in Cleveland.

"We have no credible threat,” Newsham said. “But as always if you see something, get in touch with our officers."

DC will handle three parades on the Fourth of July, the big parade downtown as well as neighborhood parades in Palisades and Barracks Row.

DC bureau chief Sam Ford has more in the video above.
