Man dies after shooting in Logan Circle neighborhood, marking DC's 100th homicide of 2025

A 33-year-old man was found shot in the Logan Circle neighborhood Monday night and later died at the hospital, marking this year's 100th homicide in D.C., according to officials.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 1200 block of 12th Street, Northwest, for the report of a shooting just before 7 p.m.

An MPD spokesperson said that when the victim was taken to a hospital, he was not breathing. Officials confirmed at around 10:50 p.m. that the man was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as 33-year-old Tymark Wells, of Northwest, D.C.
