WASHINGTON (7News) — 7News continues to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which started on Sept. 15 and ends on Oct. 15. It includes parts of two months so it can represent the independence days of multiple Latin American countries and significant days.
Dance group Corazon Folklorico was established in 2017 and honors Mexican traditions through dance, music and brightly colored costumes.
"Hispanic Heritage Month, what it means to Corazon Folklorico is showcasing our love, our joy and our culture. Our pride in being Mexican, Mexican American for me specifically, and being able to share how that is embedded into our American culture," said Alejandro Gongora, artistic director and founder of Corazon Folklorico.
