WASHINGTON (ABC7) -- Sledding on Capitol Hill grounds used to be considered an act of civil disobedience, but no more.
One of the provisions of the huge bi-partisan tax and spending bill passed by Congress was for Capitol Police to allow kids to play in the snow.
In the past, the head of the CPPD had banned sledders for what were called "security provisions." The House, though, overruled that initial practice and the final bill told sledders to play on.
That's right: If the big storm does hit D.C. this weekend, kids will be free to sled on Capitol Hill. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
