Community leaves kind messages in 'Chalk the Walk' event
CROFTON, Md. (ABC7) —
The Crofton community killed hate with kindness on Sunday night at the Chalk the Walk event.
The event comes days after a noose was found at Crofton Middle School.
The event, led by a group called Crofton is Kind, descended on the campus to leave kinda messages on the sidewalk leading up to the school for students to see Monday morning.
Organizers of the event want the students to know what the community really stands for.
"Hate will never be tolerated here and kindness and love and acceptance is always going to win out, " Kristen Caminiti told ABC7.
