Car hits and kills pedestrian trying to cross the interstate in Maryland, police say
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (ABC7) —
A person was hit and killed by a car while attempting to cross the interstate Saturday night in Owings Mills, according to authorities.
Maryland State Police say they were called to the area of Interstate 795 at Owings Mills Boulevard for a collision at around 10:57 p.m. Troopers say a Honda Accord hit a person trying to cross the interstate in lane one going south.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene, police say.
The driver stayed on the scene and was not injured but officials say the front of the Honda took significant damage.
Police have not released a description of the pedestrian at this time.
