Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis will give 500 employees Stanley Cup championship rings as a special gift after the team won its first-ever NHL title.

According to the Washington Post, full-time employees who worked for Leonsis' organization, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, when the Caps won the championship on June 7 will receive the rings.

Employees will be fitted for the rings and are scheduled to get them in the fall.

The Post reports the employee rings are different from the actual championship rings designed for Caps players and coaches.
