Body found under the BW Parkway near Laurel, Md.
LAUREL, Md. (ABC7) — A body was found under the BW Parkway near Laurel, Maryland Saturday morning, police said. By Saturday afternoon, police were able to tell us the body was that of an adult female.
According to U.S. Park Police, the unidentified women's body was found southbound on the BW Parkway at the Patuxent River between exits 197 and 198.
The body was initially discovered by a hunter who went over to see if the woman needed assistance. The hunter soon realized the woman was not conscious, nor was she breathing.
U.S. Park Police said an investigation was opened at 6 a.m. Saturday.
The Medical Examiner is investigating to determine the cause of death.
