WASHINGTON (ABC7) — For three decades the criminal gang, MS-13, has spread from its birthplace in Los Angeles to strongholds around the globe.

Its headquarters for the East Coast are in Virginia, where in the last year, the gang-related murder rate is up 166 percent.
