Annapolis Fire officials: Crew member falls 100 feet aboard cargo ship carrying containers

A crew member fell 100 feet and was injury while aboard a cargo ship carrying containers on Thursday.

The unidentified crew member broke his femur after the fall, and was rescued by Maryland Natural Resources Police officers.

Two crew members aboard the Jia Mao Shan (Hong Kong) were brought to shore and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were airlifted by Maryland State Police to an area hospital for treatment.

According to Annapolis Fire, officers were waiting in the unit block of Dock Street to help the crew member.
