$100 fines for speeding drivers in some Alexandria school zones to begin Monday


The City of Alexandria has installed automated enforcement speed cameras in three school zones impacting four schools: George Washington Middle School, Hammond Middle School, John Adams Elementary School, and Ferdinand Day Elementary School. If drivers go 10mph or more over the posted 15 mph speed limit during school hours they'll be fined 100-dollars. The cameras go live September 18.
