Rare Frederick Douglass illustrations donated to Smithsonian African Art Museum

The African Art Museum is celebrating the donation of rare silk screen paintings of Frederick Douglass.

The four paintings were created by artist Ben Shahn, and came back to the museum through a donor who purchased the artwork.
