A 91-year-old woman was killed when a small helicopter crashed into a condominium complex in Williamsburg on Sunday.

The NTSB says the body of the pilot was found Monday, but remains unidentified.

The helicopter, registered to an Alexandria address, took off from Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport about a mile away from the crash. The destination and the reason for the flight have not been determined.

Virginia State Police say they were called to the scene of the crash in the 1100 block of Settlement Drive along with the Williamsburg Fire Department and Williamsburg Police at around 4:35 p.m. The crash set the condominium on fire and crews had to work through the night to put out the blaze.

Police say the remains of 91-year-old Jean Danylko were found in the wreckage of her home. Authorities say they had to call off the search for the pilot due to structural stability concerns but added that the search would resume Monday.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are continuing to investigate the crash and the cause has not been released at this time.

The FAA said only the pilot was on board the R44 helicopter when it crashed.
