Metro is planning major makeovers for the system’s outdoor platforms.

First on the schedule, all six stations south of Reagan National Airport, serving the Blue and Yellow lines, will be closed from May 25 until Sept. 2. That’s Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day.

Metro is providing free alternative transportation, directing inconvenienced commuters to shuttles buses and other options.
