5 people injured in shooting in Southeast D.C.
WASHINGTON (WJLA) —
Five people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in southeast Washington, according to Metropolitan Police.
Police said three men and two women sustained gunshot wounds to their hands, legs and arms and were transported to an area hospital to treat non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting took place on the 4300 block of Wheeler Road SE shortly after midnight Sunday.
Police confirmed that a car drove up to a group of people and shot at them. The car drove off moments later.
