2017 Capitol Christmas tree makes it to DC
WASHINGTON (WJLA) - This year's Capitol Christmas tree has made it to Washington!
The tree completed its more than 3,000-mile journey from Yaak, Montana, to D.C. on Monday, arriving around 6 a.m.
The Engelmann Spruce from the Kootenai National Forest was set up and presented to the public in a ceremony at 10 a.m.
The 2017 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol building.
