2 dogs found dead inside burned up Fairfax County home, officials say

VIENNA, Va. (ABC7) — Two dogs were found dead inside a home in Vienna that looks significantly damaged after a fire Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The Fairfax County Fire Department says they were called to the 2000 block of Gunnell Farms Drive at around 4:30 a.m. and say both stories of the house were on fire when they arrived.

Officials say all of the residents were out of town and no civilians or firefighters were hurt in the fire.

The blaze was a two-alarm fire that firefighters quickly put out, according to the fire department. Firefighters say they found the dogs while searching the home.
