16-year-old victim in Reston hit-and-run identified
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. —
The teenager who was killed Saturday night in Reston by a driver who sped away after the crash has been identified.
Daniel Serrano, 16, had just gotten off work and was walking home from where his bus had dropped him off when he was struck and killed in a hit-and-run.
Serrano leaves behind his mother and 2-year-old brother.
His family and friends gathered today near where he was killed at the intersection of South Lakes Drive and Castle Rock Square. They put up a white cross and flowers in his memory.
The driver who killed Serrano is still at large. Police say they are driving a sedan that has significant front end damage, but don't have any information about car's model or color.
