WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJLA) - Members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Narcotics and Special Investigation Division Human Trafficking Unit announced that an additional seven arrests have been made in a prostitution enforcement operation on Thursday and Friday, while 11 were arrested Wednesday.
On Tuesday, July 14, MPD's Human Trafficking Unit began conducting prostitution enforcement in the downtown area of Northwest, D.C. The additional seven arrests - between July 21 and July 24 - brings the total arrested in this operation to 57.
All that have been arrested are adult males and have been charged with solicitation of prostitution. One of the seven arrested Thursday was charged with pandering.
MPD says the operation is still ongoing.
