BOWIE, Md. (7News) — Myles Frost moonwalked into Broadway stardom Sunday night winning the Tony Award for Best Actor in his portrayal of Michael Jackson on stage in "MJ The Musical" and for a lot of people around Maryland, that’s a thriller.
"I’m just overjoyed," said Dr. Aminta Breaux, President of Bowie State University.
Count Dr. Breaux among the fans who can’t get enough of the 22-year-old star because Frost is a current student at Bowie State and a graduate of Thomas S. Wootton High in Montgomery County, He grew up in Fort Washington.

His story, well you just can’t beat it.
Tewodross Williams, of Bowie State’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts, said Frost’s talent is so broad with regard to his future, this Tony is just startin’ something.
"Even before he came to Bowie State, I had a chance to meet him, before he transferred into Bowie State and at that point I knew him as an actor primarily," said Williams. "I didn’t realize how talented he was in terms of being a musician, a producer, a composer, arranger. I had no idea he was a dancer as well just multi-talented star. That’s all I can say."

Frost, who was unavailable for our story Monday, is still enrolled at Bowie State. He’s a junior and school leaders are urging him don’t stop till you get enough credits to graduate from this very proud school.
