"I've been in television for almost 30 years and I was always in awe of the job that Alex (Trebek) did hosting this show the ease at which he guided contestants through. His smile, warmth, and the intellect that came through. When somebody said 'hey would want to fill in as a guest?' Yes, was my answer and it was quick because it's something new for me. It's a challenge and now that I have been inside this studio I have a greater appreciation of how meticulously awesome Alex Trebek was," Buck said.
One D.C. area contestant is also scheduled to appear on the popular game show. Brianna Weck, of Arlington, will make her debut on Wednesday.
Other guest hosts have included Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, Anchor Anderson Cooper, Savannah Guthrie, Levar Burton, and Robin Roberts, among many others.
Jeopardy airs at 7:30 p.m. ET on 7News.
