Woman charged with arson in Motel 6 fire in Gaithersburg
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (ABC7) —
A woman has been charged for her alleged involvement in a fire at a Motel 6 Tuesday in Gaithersburg.
Joy Roselle Lloyd, 37, is charged with first-degree arson and reckless endangerment, according to Montgomery County Fire and Explosive Investigators.
Eighty-five firefighters arrived to the Motel 6 located on Quince Orchard Road and saw fire coming from a second-floor room. Several people at the hotel were forced to evacuate.
The blaze was extinguished and officials say there was $150,000 worth of damage caused.
