Police: Arlington students charged with threatening shooting via Snapchat

Washington-Lee High School graduates oppose potential name change in Arlington (ABC7)

Two students have been charged with threatening a shooting at Washington-Lee High School in a Snapchat video.

Arlington County Police say both students are charged with threats to commit serious bodily harm to persons on school property. The students identities are not being released based on their age.

On Oct. 31, a school resource officer responded to a threat made towards the school.

Police arrived to investigate and determined the social media video was made by the students and contained verbal and written threats of a potential shooting at the high school.

According to police, a probe revealed that the students did not have the capability to carry out the shooting.
