WASHINGTON (WJLA) — The Metropolitan Police Department has announced multiple arrests have been made in numerous robbery incidents, all of which are believed to be connected.
On Wednesday, Sept. 16, MPD responded to a robbery in three different locations.
The first incident took place in the 200 block of Florida Ave. NE around 4:00 p.m. The second robbery occurred in the 400 block of N St. NW around 4:30 p.m. The third robbery took place in the 200 block of K St. NW around 5:00 p.m.
Residents at each location reported assault and robbery. In all of the incidents listed, residents said a group of males assaulted them before robbing them.
On Thursday, Sept. 17, MPD arrested two juvenile males of Northeast, D.C. and charged them with the robberies. The investigation to determine the identity of the remaining suspects is still ongoing.
