Man shot, killed overnight in Northeast D.C.

A man was shot and killed early Friday morning in Northeast Washington, according to police.

Officers found 28-year-old Lamar Purnell Parrish shot multiple times in the 2500 block of 14th Street NE. Police say he died at the scene.

Investigators did not have information on a shooter in this incident.

This latest shooting took place a few blocks away from two other deadly shootings in Northeast Washington earlier this week.

Metropolitan Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information can be submitted to the department's TEXT TIP LINE by messaging 50411.
