Man arrested for allegedly trying to open door 3 times on United flight from Paris to Va.

A man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to open the emergency exit door three times during a United Airlines flight from Paris, France to Dulles International Airport on Sept. 30.

Alex Croft was arrested and a criminal complaint charged him with interference with flight crew members or flight attendants, according to court documents.

Croft looked out of the window to the left of an emergency exit and said he needed to get off the plane.

According to court documents, he tried to open an emergency exit door and was told by a flight attendant to return to his seat.

Minutes later, Croft ran to the same emergency exit door and attempted to open it again.

A flight attendant had to physically remove Croft from the emergency exit area.

Court documents state under an hour before the flight was scheduled to land, Croft came to the emergency exit door and tried to open it a third time. A Federal Air Marshall restrained Croft.

When the flight landed Croft was arrested.
