Judge rules D.C. yoga teacher murder case to move forward, trial date set for early April

The man accused of killing D.C. yoga teacher, Tricia Lynn McCauley appeared in court Friday for a preliminary hearing at 2 p.m.

A judge ruled today that the case will move forward.

Duane Adrian Johnson was charged with felony murder after he was caught driving McCauley's vehicle around D.C. with her dead body inside on Tuesday, Dec. 27, according to officials.

McCauley went missing on Christmas Day in Northwest D.C.

Prosecutors in the case say McCauley was sexually assaulted, strangled and murdered.

A trial date has been set for early April.
