WASHINGTON (WJLA) — The homicide rate in D.C. now stands at 109 after a man was fatally shot in Southwest Monday night.
D.C. Police confirm 28-year-old Jarrell Hall of Southwest, D.C. was shot and killed, and another man was injured, in a shooting in the area of 56 Forrester St. SW.
The shooting occurred sometime before 11 p.m. Monday.
Officers found two adult male victims suffering from serious, life-threatening injuries. Hall died at the scene. The other man is now in serious condition at a local hospital.
The homicide capped off a violent night in D.C. Five men were injured in a shooting in Southeast on Monday night.
Police have not released any suspect information for the shooting or a motive.
