WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Two men are wanted for the kidnapping of a woman, who was waiting for a bus near the Petworth Metro station Tuesday afternoon in Northwest Washington.
Police say the unidentified woman was not harmed in the incident.
Metro Transit Police say the woman was approached by the men while she waited for the bus on the corner of New Hampshire Avenue, NW and Georgia Avenue, NW.
While talking to the woman, the men told her to come with them and threatened her if she wasn't obedient, according to police.
The men forced her to walk to a car and asked where she lived, and drove to her home in Hyattsville, Maryland, where they stole items and cash. Following the robbery, police say the men left the area.
A description of the kidnappers was released by police. The first man is described as Hispanic and 40 years old with a dark complexion. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, and police say he was wearing a long-sleeve gray and white Hawaiian-style shirt with dark blue jeans and a black watch. The other man is Hispanic and is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and is between 20 and 25 years old. He has a light complexion, and was wearing a short-sleeve green plaid shirt and blue jeans.
According to police, the men were driving a silver SUV, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder.
