Man walks up to ABC7 crew: 'I've been shot'

WASHINGTON (ABC7) -- A man was shot in his right arm in Southeast D.C. Tuesday.

Police responded to the 4400 block of E Street at approximately 12:47 p.m.

The man, who approached an ABC7 reporter and cameraman stationed in the area, was conscious and breathing, according to police.

The victim told ABC7 Photographer Mike Vaughn, "I've been shot," and requested water, according to ABC7 Reporter Kevin Lewis. The crew then helped the man sit down along a nearby curb.

The suspect in the shooting is still at large.

No further information was immediately available.
