1 arrested, 2 injured in stabbing in Maryland, police say

A man was arrested and two people were injured in a stabbing Thursday night in Rockville, Maryland.

Police say the two unidentified victims had stab wounds and cuts, and sustained non-life-threatening injuries; both were taken to an area hospital. Investigators say a third person suffered "lesser injuries."

Dakota Shaynne Jones was charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and reckless endangerment, according to Rockville Police.

Jones went into his home claiming to have a gun and was later arrested by officers, police say.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of N. Horners Lane.
