Taiwanese-American Jimmy Yang Strengthens US Relationship With Taiwan

Meetings of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, or APEC, are currently underway in Detroit, Michigan. Established in 1989, APEC takes as its mission the promotion of economic growth among countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

One of these countries, Taiwan, is a key trading partner of the United States. Taiwanese-American businessman Jimmy Yang spoke with us about his ongoing efforts to strengthen the business relationship between Taiwan and the U.S. — a task he has been pursuing for 40 years.
