WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A recent study of moms and dads finds the average parent spends just five hours a week interacting with their children face-to-face. More than half of the parents surveyed said they felt “distant” from their kids. Technology, social media, and over-booked schedules are all contributing factors. Parenting blogger and mother of two Carolina King, and chef and mother of three Lori Rogers discussed how to reconnect one-on-one and maintain a close-knit family.
