Helping children with autism transition into adulthood

7NewsDC — It's a special edition of the Mother Side, on this first day of World Autism Awareness Month. The CDC reports that approximately 1 in 44 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder -- and the shift into adulthood can be difficult to navigate. Dekeda Brown, mom and founder of Walk One Day in Our Shoes, offered steps to help make the transition a bit easier.
