Dairy-free swaps: Don't let lactose intolerance hurt your hunger

It’s estimated that 65 percent of people have a reduced ability to digest lactose. But whether you have to cut dairy for medical reasons or are simply trying to reduce your intake, there are several substitutes on the market. Jessica DeLuise of Eat Your Way to Wellness shared a few of her favorite swaps for cheese, yogurt, milk and more.

Chocolate Berry Smoothie

  • 1/4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup spinach
  • 1/4 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup nondairy yogurt
  • 1 cup mooala banana milk
  • Pinch of salt
