Faking the Grade: Did DC schools break the law by not properly reporting absences?

The ABC 7 ON YOUR SIDE has uncovered records that indicate DC Public Schools might be breaking the law by not properly reporting student absences to Court Social Services at the DC Superior Court.

ABC7 ran the numbers given to the DC Council by DCPS and discovered that chronically absent students were reported to Social Services only 33 percent of the time.
